Writing 101
Posted by: | CommentsHave you ever suffered from writer’s block? If you have a blog, I’ll be willing to bet you did at some time. I know I’ve had it before and it can be frustrating. I always wondered if there was a way to cure writers block and gain more confidence in my writing. I think I finally found the answer.

Simple Simon
Do you remember the first time you learned how to write? I can recall sentences that sounded something like this,“the cat is big.” I would then put all those sentences into a paragraph and a writing star was born! As I got more mature, my writing matured as well and I learned more of the mechanics behind it. In high school, I learned about having a rough draft. A rough draft is like having an etch a sketch where you can make a mistake then shake it, and wipe the slate clean. Are you following me? A rough draft can serve as a place for you to try out your ideas before you put them on the real stage. The “RD” can get loss in the writing process because most people want a perfect article the first time out. This just doesn’t happen. Did you know you use different sides of the brain to edit and write. So…how can you do both at the same time? It makes sense do them at different times, right? You can save yourself frustration by using the free writing technique.
Free Writing
I discovered the idea of “free writing” in The Challenge. Ed Dale described it in a module dedicated to article writing. I have never had much trouble writing, but I know it frightens some people. I guess it can be intimidating to have to write on a subject you may not know anything about for the first time but can it be fun? Yes, it can if you let it! Ed Dale describes the process like this: grab a timer and put ten minutes on it and just start writing whatever comes to your mind. Don’t stop writing until the timer goes off. That’s all you have to do! The secret lies in getting your ideas on paper then expanding on those ideas through revising your drafts. Its an easy process and it works! I have used something similar myself and it has never failed. If the “free writing” process doesn’t work for you, what is your alternative?
Me and my Memo Pad
When I first started writing my blogs, I had trouble finding things to write about, but now I rarely do. How did I solve my problem? I carry around a small memo book and jot down ideas in it. I get topics from conversations with friends, radio and TV. I take my memo pad with me everywhere because you never know when inspiration might strike. The next time you have a case of writers block don’t get frustrated just remember you have options.
Online Marketing Promotion: Turbo Traffic System
Posted by: | CommentsI was on vacation and got a chance to visit upstate New York for the first time last week. It is a beautiful area by the way, if you ever want to visit. While I was in NY, I attended my sister’s graduation from nursing school. I am very proud of her because I know what she has gone through to become a nurse. I envy the money she is making, but what I don’t envy is the time and effort she had to put into achieving her goal. Can you imagine studying intensely for two years and having to maintain a certain grade point average to graduate? She did it for two years and I picked up one of her textbooks and got totally confused in 5 minutes. I thought I was reading Chinese! I could tell from one glimpse of her textbook time and effort had to go into being a nurse.
Speaking of time and effort
Are you putting time and effort into your blog/site and not getting any traffic? I know the feeling, and it can be frustrating to say the least. Let’s face it, you need visitors to take it to the next level and make money. Isn’t that your goal? That’s my goal! I want to give my job the finger and finally go “Hans Solo”. ( smile) I thought I would throw that in for my Star Wars fans out there. Is there a way you can get traffic on autopilot? It just might be so listen up!
Traffic For Dummies
Do you learn from seeing, doing, or both. I learn from both and its the main reason why I get excited when I see a tutorial, I can put into action. I had a chance to experience a level of excitement I have not been able to in a long time, by attending Dean Holland and Adam Spiel’s Turbo Traffic System webinar. I watched as Adam Spiel constructed an affiliate site from scratch using keywords and other “tricks”. He made the whole thing look easy!!! I almost fell off my chair as I watched him construct a site in almost no time and I can guarantee it will be a success. Did I say success? Yup, I did and that only comes through driving traffic to your site. Turbo Traffic is traffic for dummies!
Sweet Deal
If you want access to this right now you can get it for 1$ for 14 days! I kinda sound like one of those bad infomercials, huh? Most of the systems give you nothing but “fluff” but Dean and Adam deliver the real deal!!!! Check it out!!!! Seize the day!

Hang in there!
Posted by: | CommentsI had a call witn my mentor Dean Holland last Thursday and I got a very inspirational message for him. He said to hang in there and the sales will come. Many of the people in my class are starting to build their lists including me. It is any exciting time to see this happening as it seemed far away a couple of months ago. I never thought I would have a blog or even know what a C Panel is much less purchasing domains for other sites. Its an exciting time and I am glad I decided to begin this journey. When are you going to start yours?

Don’t finish before you start
Posted by: | CommentsThings are getting back in the swing as 2010 has rung in loud and clear! I know many of us have resolutions and for the most part some probably have broken them already, have you broken yours? I don’t want to sound too negative, so I am going to hope that most of us are still on our “A” game and are sticking to them. Did you ever notice that most people make resolutions for the easy stuff, but few if any make resolutions on the hard stuff they want to change. Why is that?
I firmly believe that most of us finish before we start. Huh…. what am I saying? It means we talk ourselves out of the big stuff in our minds before we start it so we don’t have to deal with failure. Do you know what I am talking about? I’ll use myself as an example. A couple of years ago, I bought a well known real estate course because I wanted to finally make some money and fire my boss. I got the course and read through it, and it seemed simple enough, but something strange happened as I got deeper in the course. I began to listen to my own self talk and halfway through the course, I quit!!!! I didn’t give myself a chance to experience failure because I was too scared to put my plan into action.
There are some of you who might be reading this and are hesitant to get into Internet Marketing. I urge you tp put your plan into action, right now! Don’t finish before you start. Everyone has to start somewhere and who knows… you may just become successful.

Change is Good
Posted by: | CommentsThe only thing constant in life is change. I use to resist change but now I invite it in and welcome it to sit down. If you are going to be in Internet Marketing, you’ll need to adapt and change because things move pretty rapidly. I started exploring IM about 2 years ago and wow… have things change drastically since that time! Change is good believe it or not because change represents progression and if you plan on moving forward in IM you’ll need to progress. I have progressed and grown in leaps and bounds in a period of about three months. I knew nothing about blogging and now I have two blogs with various plugins, etc.
Blogging is fun and I am constantly looking for ways to “tweak” my blog and make it better. I happened to stumble upon something I didn’t think about while watching one of Alex Jeffreys’ training sessions. Have you ever thought of recording a welcome video? I did just that for my first blog which you can view Here. I’ll be doing one for Darren McDuffie .com. Look for it! In my next post, I’ll be sharing with you the various plugins and even different sites you can use to upload your videos. Stay tuned!!!!!
