Full Steam Ahead
Posted by: | CommentsI haven’t updated the blog in a while… I have been crazy busy! I graduated from Dean Holland’s Starting with Marketing Academy and I didn’t miss a step… I jumped right into Alex Jeffreys’ Marketing with Me. I am learning a great deal about affiliate marketing and Alex is a great teacher. Alex Jeffrey’s is Dean Holland’s mentor, in case you didn’t know it. Alex goes in depth on affiliate marketing and how to build a business. My eyes have been opened to building a business online and what it takes to do this. Alex like Dean goes into believing in yourself but he also touches on planning for the months ahead. I never gave any particular thought to where I wanted to be 3 months or maybe even a year from now. I am now giving it quite a bit of thought and writing down more things to make them “concrete”. I heard an interesting thing on one of Alex’s brainstorming sessions where he tells one of the students to write things down because the subconscious mind has no choice but to see it and make it happen. I can relate to this because it has worked for me in the past. I have written many things down only to see them come true. I am definitely enjoying the ride and continuing to learn more about affiliate marketing and building a successful online business. Thanks Dean and Alex for your guidance!

Ready to go on video, again?
Posted by: | CommentsHey… I think I had a false alarm when I first started posting on my blog. I was a bit premature in my jump to do video! I just finished my last module in Dean Holland’s “Starting with Marketing” and guess what the final module was about? You guessed it video! I was glad I decided to wait as I learned a little bit more about how to use video on my blog. I am not sure how the first video will be, but I am am looking at it through positive optics!
I think on the next post, I will post a video and hopefully you”ll keep visiting the blog when you see what I look like (smile). I have really enjoyed Dean’s class I would recommend it to anyone looking for coaching. Stay tuned for the debut of me in living color on my next post. Keep reading and commenting as it is appreciated!

25 things about Dee
Posted by: | CommentsWhat’s up people? Yesterday just happened to be my birthday, so I took a day off from posting. I figured it was my birthday so I could do what I want, right? Well… I thought I would do something a bit different for this post. I have seen this on Facebook and even took a few quizzes on folks I know, so I thought my readers may want to know some things about me so here goes:
25 things about me you may not know:
1. I am fiercely loyal to my family and friends. If I can help them, I always will.
2. My cousin and I are 2 weeks apart and born the same year. I am not sure how our mothers managed that but they did. My cousin is more like my brother… love that dude to death.
3. My mom died of cancer on the day after Thanksgiving in 2005. Her death was the reason I started to learn more about the body and the effects exercise has on it.
4. When I graduated from college, I aspired to be a music executive and work for a major label. I was a “tad” away from moving to Los Angeles.
5. I use to be in a rap group called Black Reign with a friend name Jon Shell. He was a teammate of mine in college. We were pretty good.
6. I was a band nerd! I played the trombone in high school but gave it up to pursue basketball.
7. I always wanted to learn how to play the piano, so at the age of 28 I took lessons for 4 years.
8. I love to write! I still have notebooks of poems and songs I wrote years ago.
9. My absolute favorite food is Salmon Croquettes (Salmon Patties). My mom would make this for me when I returned home after moving out years ago.
10. I really really really miss my mom’s cooking! She could burn!
11. I like to cook. It relaxes me.
12. Everything I wear has to match. It drives me nuts if it doesn’t.
13. I have always wanted to own a business.
14. I was more in love with football and wanted to be a receiver but ended up growing to 6’7 and basketball became my love.
15. People use to judge me as being conceited ,but I was always a bit shy and quiet.
16. I like to joke around and I keep my friends laughing!
17. I love internet marketing… I learn something new all the time.
18. I love old Kung Fu movies… favorite one is the Tai Chi Master.
19. My absolute favorite shows of all time are Oz, The Wire, Weeds, and Lost. I can watch them over and over again.
20. When I go to a movie and someone is talking, I will say something to to them. It embrasses the heck out of my friends.
21. I actually met Shaq at a club in Kileen ,Texas. I thought to myself damn he is tall.
22. I got the thrill of my life and got to play basketball with David Thompson in my hometown at the YMCA. I didn’t even know who he was until my older cousin told me and I was like wow! He played so effortlessly the same as when I saw Michael Jordan play in person.
23. I always knew I wanted to live in Florida. We played Florida Atlantic University my freshman year and I absolutely knew I would be back.
24. I have a talent for seeing the end result with anything or anyone.
25. If I had not gotten a basketball scholarship, I would have probably been a Marine. I love those uniforms and what they represent and I scored really high on the military test in high school. ( smile)
